Spanish Cooking Workshop

Course summary

If you’d like to learn authentic Spanish cooking from Movida's Sous Chef, this is the event for you!

Participants will be introduced to Spanish flavours and cooking techniques, while learning new and unusual ways to incorporate different Corner Store preserves into cooking. As well as taking part in steps along the way, you’ll get to taste and try each dish!

What you’ll learn

You’ll be guided through cooking a range of delicious classics including:

  • Three tapas (manchego bite, ajoblanco with granita and gildas) 
  • One main (Monte y Mar)
  • One side dish (braised artichokes)

What you’ll get

  • A wonderful hands-on experience with an experienced chef
  • All ingredients provided 
  • Recipe cards to take home and practice
  • A preserve of your choice to cook with at home

What to bring

  • We have some aprons but feel free to bring your own
  • Please tie long hair back
  • Closed toe shoes

About the instructor

Lily McGrath is the Sous Chef at popular Spanish restaurant, Movida Melbourne. She has seven years experience in Spanish cuisine and loads of interest in fermenting/old world techniques.

Time: 10:30am - 1:30pm

Cost: $120

Level of skill required: Intermediate level, good for home cooks

Max participants: 12  

Notes

The dishes contain pork, seafood, nuts (almonds) and dairy. Variations will be included in recipes but cannot be altered for the workshop.

This workshop requires a minimum number of 8 participants to go ahead. In the event we don’t get enough participants, we will postpone the event to a later date. Refunds will be offered to those who cannot attend the new date.
